Allison Jackson, Editor
It is Junior Allison Jackson’s third year in journalism. She joined because of her passion for writing. Over the years, she has gained many new writing skills that she uses in her literature classes as well as in journalism. Her sophomore year Jackson was the assistant editor and took on many tasks with her peers to make sure the newspaper was the best that it could be. Her goal this year for the journalism class is to help the other staff member meet all the deadlines and make sure the newspaper gets better with each issue.
Over the summer, she spent two weeks of June in Florida with her family. While at the beach Jackson enjoyed relaxing in the sand and playing in the water. She spent the week of 4th of July volunteering at a Winshape Camp where she helped take care of children attending the camp.
In her spare time, Jackson enjoys hitting golf balls at the range and spending time on the course. Last year she joined the AHS golf team and encouraged one of her friends to join as well; they both ended up loving the game. Her goal this year for the journalism class is to help the other staff member meet all the deadlines and make sure the newspaper gets better with each issue. Jackson’s advice to underclassmen is make sure to read, do homework, turn everything in on time and attend all the events as possible to make high school the best experience it can be.
