Alexis Hardy

Alexis Hardy, School News Editor

Alexis Hardy is a junior at Armuchee High. In 2016-2017 school year she started in Journalism, at first she didn't like it because she said she wasn't a very good writer and was very shy. Hardy said, "Throughout the year I came to love journalism, the teacher and all the upperclassmen that helped me through." Due to being in journalism her writing progressed and she was getting better at going out of her comfort zone.

This year will be her third year in journalism and she hopes to remain in journalism through her senior year.  "This class has been a great fit for me due to helping my writing and understand more. Mrs. Mowery as helped me so much and this class means a lot to me getting me ready for writing papers in college," said Hardy.

Mrs. Brackett/Ensley Spanish teacher stands with her cans. She is in the running with the most cans; she never thought her class would be this far ahead but now she is excited to know that her students really care. If she is to win, she will be excited but she’s just happy to know that her class is willing. She has rewarded her students with 5 extra credit points on a test for bringing in 5 or more cans. Not only is she giving them to her 5th period students, but to other students that bring cans as well.
