This year, Abigail Trotter (who goes by Abby Drew) was elected for the Class of 2026, senior superlative for “Most Talented.” The superlative of “Most Talented” is awarded to those who display an aptitude for specific areas of Armuchee’s extracurriculars and interests outside of the school. “She works really hard. And I think it’s something that we should highlight,” Emma Reed, a fellow superlative awardee and close friend of Abby Drew’s, said. “I feel very honored [and] very seen by my grade… It means a lot to me because my grade. sees like the effort I put into everything that I strive to be good at,” Trotter said. Outside of just her talent, Abby Drew’s peers value her kindness and determination. “[Abby Drew] is just someone you can talk to about anything. She’s so amazing, and she’s always open to help and she’s always open to [help] someone.”
At Armuchee, Abby Drew is involved in the Thespian Society, National Honors Society (NHS), Key Club, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), theater, art, and chorus. Abby Drew has also done track, volleyball, and basketball in her younger high school years. After high school, Abby Drew plans to double major in criminal justice and theater at Shorter University. However, her career path does not stop with just degrees. “at the end of May after graduation, I’m going to be working in 911 dispatch, and then working up to being a criminal analyst,” Trotter said. Abby Drew reflected that the most applicable skill that she has cultivated through her extracurriculars is patience. Outside of the more broad skill sets, Abby Drew’s favorite skill to cultivate was acting. “In just two short years, has become one of Armuchee’s like best actresses I think… She’s gotten many lead roles,” Reed said.
Alongside her career path in criminal justice, Abby Drew still plans to utilize her passion for theater and the arts. “I plan on going to do community theater at Rome Little Theater, doing theater in college and hopefully being able to do like murals across like for if people need a mural and stuff like that,” Trotter said. Abby Drew has also painted the Class of 2026 senior bench, marking herself as the senior class’s main artist. Through her accomplishments, Abby Drew plans to leave a legacy of hard work and focused talent when she walks the stage at graduation.
