On November 3rd of this year, Joseph Wofford recieved the senior superlative for “Most Respected.” Joseph’s peers stated that their reasoning behind electing Joseph to represent the Class of 2026 in this manner was due to the kindness and respect that he demonstrates around the school. Joseph was ecstatic to learn of his nomination. He said, “I really appreciate everyone at the school, you know, I appreciate the seniors here.” At Armuchee, Joseph takes part in the school’s math team and works around the school for Work Based Learning with Coach Arp. When asked about any of his previous extracuicualrs, Joseph said, “I was on the basketball team, but I’m not going to play this year. I’ll probably still show up to the games and show my support.” When it comes to his attitude on the court, Joseph exemplifies why he was elected for his superlative. Alex Yates, senior, said, “Joseph’s super respectful to his teammates and just nice in general to all of us whenever we play.”
Joseph’s main three role models are Jesus Christ, Stephen Curry, and his mother. He hopes to reflect all three of these individuals’qualities. When asked how this accomplishment reflects him as a character, Joseph said, “I’m just trying to reflect Christ’s character… I believe that we should be a light in this world, and that’s through Jesus.” Wyatt Hunton, a senior and close friend of Joseph, loves how true to himself Joseph is.
After Graduation, Joseph plans to go to Berry College and go through the Winshape College Program, a program that cultivates Christian leadership and discipleship. At Berry, he aims to major in either a computer science or some kind of engineering field. Joseph then plans to use this degree to aquire a job in Information technology (IT) at Winshape. Moses Abston, senior, said, “He’s just made me want to be a better Christ follower and put others before myself more.” When he graduates, Joseph wishes to be remembered as a character of Christ that people can look up to. Armuchee wishes Joseph the best on his journey through life and hopes he continues to inspire others the same way that he has the Class of 2026.
