TribeFest was a couple of weekends ago, on October 30th. It was an event where the Armuchee community gathered and did activities and explored food booths and sales booths.  They had things for kids like face paint and pumpkin carving, as well as singing on a stage, adult activities, and booths for everyone.

The annual t-shirt contest allowed Armuchee students to draw t-shirt designs; one of these many designs won.  This year I won the local t-shirt contest. What inspired my design was our school mascot. I used the Indian and tribal tents to make an Armuchee design.

Sophomore, Dylan Pierce enjoyed Tribe Fest. He liked the cool things people sold there and seeing his friends. Sophomore Ivey Whitaker said, “Usually people are performing and singing so I was excited for those.”

As much as TribeFest is about booths and activities of sorts, it was filled to the brim with memories. Student, Maddie Dempsey, said, “My favorite memory of TribeFest was probably in fifth grade when all of my friends and I were running around having fun there.” Other students also had these same responses. TribeFest is a great get-together for the community.
