On August 1, 2024 Mrs. Brock became an official Biology and Forensic Science teacher at Armuchee High School. Mrs. Brock said, “It’s just a good family to be in and they are so accepting to everyone. It is also much closer to home which is always a bonus.” The Armuchee community has been extremely welcoming to all the new students and teachers. There is a passionate personality within the Tribe as they encourage each other to be positive.
The new teacher attended the University of North Georgia for her Bachelor’s degree, then continued her education at Western Governors to get her masters in Science. Mrs Brock is not new to the South, she was born and raised in Summerville, GA. About 15 minutes north of Armuchee. Mrs Brock joined this school to be a teacher, most importantly to help those in need. Mrs Brock says, “I want to help the students succeed and be good citizens in their future days.” Mrs Brock has always been passionate about science, especially forensics. She said, “I wanted to be a forensic teacher because we get to look at science in a different way and have fun activities throughout the year.” A senior at Armuchee High School Kohen Terry said, “We have done some really fun things. such as a crime scene investigation, and a sketch based off of an eye witness.”
While Mrs Brock was in high school, she did competition cheer. Mrs Brock has a passionate love for the sport which helps her connect to other students with a passion for their club or activities. She said, “My favorite thing about being a teacher is definitely working with the students because you never know what you’re going to expect.” This being her first year teaching there is a lot to learn about the behavior of students.
Mrs Brock expressed that she enjoys doing many things outside of school. She said, “One of my favorites is probably to workout, second would be hanging out with her kid, second would be with her cats and dogs, and sometimes her husband.” Mrs. Brock has a bubbly and silly personality; Mrs Brock is always doing something. Her kids, dogs, and cats always keep her busy. Mrs Brock also loves listening to Classic Rock because she loves listening to their unforgettable melodies. If Mrs Brock could change to any subject, it would either be Nutrition and Wellness. Showing other people how to maintain a healthy meal every day from a scientific viewpoint would be an interest to her. Mrs Brock would also love to help others get in shape through weight training, which happens to be a hobby she is very passionate about. The Armuchee Community welcomes Mrs Brock to Armuchee High School and hopes she has a great first year!
