Trinity Park, 8th grader, won a very interesting superlative at Armuchee High School. Out of the several different superlatives that were options, she won “Most Outgoing”. The definition of outgoing is ¨someone who is friendly and energetic and finds it easy and enjoyable to be with others¨(Cambridge dictionary). She won this award through other students in her grade voting for the person they felt best represented each superlative. This shows that the students in her grade view her as someone who is extremely easy to get along with and someone who is overall freindly. Trinity claimed she won this award because she is funny, and she is somebody who always wants to make a new friend. She said, “This superlative accurately fits my personality in many ways, and I believe that it’s the only superlative that would suit me and my personality.” Trinity also mentioned that an example of why she was given this certain superlative was because she has many different friends and she tries to show kindness to everyone. So she wasn’t too surprised, but still overjoyed. She said, “When I found out I won the award I wasn’t very surprised but I was still extremely happy.”
Trinity stated that if she could make her own superlative to suit herself it would be most likely to eat food in class. Overall, Trinity’s superlative had a positive impact on how she views herself and her confidence. She said, “Winning this superlative made me more confident in my everyday life at school because it shows that my peers view me the way I want to be seen.” She also mentioned that she could hold on to the memory throughout the rest of her high school career. Trinity said that after she graduates from high school she wants to attend the University of Georgia and get a good degree while she’s there. Trinity continues to embody her superlative everyday, and will no doubt carry it on with her past her high school years.
