Armuchee High School Junior homecoming representatives, Ella Dunagan and Tori Vitello, represented the class of 2026 by walking out onto the football field on Homecoming Night Friday, October 4 2024. The homecoming court can be a great experience for the students to learn while also having fun. To represent your class can show other peers how they can be a role model. With being on the court you also get to be in the reverse homecoming parade, which is held on the Wednesday before the homecoming game. Show the families and students what you are like, your style, and what extracurricular activities you do. Homecoming consists of a week of fun dress-up days, voting on the grade level representatives, a reverse parade, an exciting football game, and a dance. There can be many preparations coming up to this night. The Students have many appointments like getting their hair done and making sure their makeup is done in time. Homecoming court is also a way to show their own inspiration, like what dress they pick. The style they can pick and the color can show a lot of their personality.
These students are chosen by their fellow classmates of the class of 2026. Each student votes and picks who they think deserves to be on homecoming court. Macy Green, Junior, says that “Ella and Tori are both very friendly and outgoing, and have a bright impact in the school.” Both of these wonderful girls are very well respected by their classmates and teachers.
Tori and Ella were very honored to be selected for the court. This was Ella’s third time being selected for homecoming court. Ella said, “It felt very special to be selected again. I was honored to represent my class of 2026.” To show compassion for our school and to be involved with the school shows the community the support and love they have. Being a representative can mean a lot of things. Tori said “Being a representative for me means that I am a role model for my classmates.” Tori is very active in the school. She is on the leadership team, plays varsity softball, and is in the key club. She loves to be included with the school community and to be a role model for other students. Being a representative can mean many different things to different people. Ella says, “To cast a positive light on both my peers and community.” Being a representative helps her do that. She wants to show that everyone can be a kind and helping person by being a great example for others, and express this to everyone.
Armuchee shows so much care and support in our community. Everyone is noticed and matters. We all love to show the amount of respect and support we have for one another by holding events that encourage students to do better. Ella says, “Armuchee means so much to me, the outgoing and caring tribe creates such a loving community.” So many words can describe our school and how all of the students do things differently. People can all have their different opinions, but Ella has appreciation for how everyone is treated.
Being on the Homecoming court can be a very exciting thing, in fact many students many wish to be on the court, so for Ella and Tori it was a privilege to be selected as the few that get nominated. They both are very kind and encouraging people and want to show the school What their impact is on others. These awesome candidates will never forget this experience and the feeling for being nominated to be on homecoming court.
