Mr. Nick Elliott started teaching in 2012 and went to a shorter college first where he went to earn his bachelor’s degree then went to Arkansaw State so that he could earn his master’s and then after that I went to Berry College so that I could get my specialists degree. And after that “I started teaching so that I could teach in the same community that I lived in. I asked Kailyn Therber what she liked about Mr. Elliot and she said” I had him for two years, 3rd grade math and 5th grade math. He was amazing because he would always help us out and we always played these fun games as a class. He is just all-around good with kids and knows what we need, and he is just a good assistant principal because he is good with all ages of kids instead of just younger kids.
When Mr. Elliot started as a teacher after a while he realized that he wanted to help more kids, and so he said, “While I was in in the classroom I liked how I could build a relationship with kids and parents but I wanted to be able to serve more students at one time and help them from that transition from kids to adults.” He is also a very well-educated assistant principal because since he was already a teacher he knows a good bit of the kids. Mr. Elliott loves his job. He loves getting to talk to anybody and everybody all the time and the relationships he can have with teachers and students. He even has some fun hobbies, he likes to read, mostly historical fiction but also likes traveling and exploring new and different parts of Georgia and he said “For sure I love to color and spend time with my three kids.
Mr. Elliot is one of the first people the sixth graders coming up from the elementary school will meet. And so I decided to ask them what they thought about him and all of them had positive things to say about him. One sixth grader who wished not to be named said that she likes him because he is fun, able to keep the peace, and is all-around a good person.
He even has the privilege of being able to stay in the hallway for most of the day and has even been able to get a cart so that if he needs to go through the halls then he can do it and do almost all the things that he can do in his office anywhere he wants. And he is also able to help middle schoolers and high schoolers. I am sure students have seen him on their way to the lunch room or just somewhere in the halls and if you ever need anything then you know that he is the one that you can ask. Mr. Elliot has been a big part of the Armuchee community and school system for a while now and has become an important part of everything that we do on a day-to-day basis.
