AHS Welcomes Freshmen

For the freshmen, this year they would like to accomplish several goals, including making A’s in their classes and making friends. Bralin James said, “My first week of school for freshmen year was amazing but a lot of work for the first day.” McKenzie Day said, “I enjoyed it, and the teachers give more freedom than the middle school.” How is high school different from the middle school? Day said, “The teachers give you more freedom to let you use your phone.” Carson McDonald said, “It was different because they have better food here.” For the freshmen coming in this year what are the freshmen probably expecting for their first high school year?  James said, “I’m expecting to pass this year.”  McDonald said, “I am expecting to make all A’s this year.” Students expect to get involved in high school this year. James  said, “I am going to do photography.”  Day said “I am going to get involved in Color Guard, Winter Guard, and Chorus.” McDonald said “I am going to go to as many sporting events as he can this year.”

The freshmen have many different classes this year.  James said, “My favorite class this year so far is Fitness Health.” Day said, “I like IBT”  McDonald said, “My favorite class this year so far is Algebra.” Since this is the freshman’s first year they are probably really nervous about coming to a new school.
